STQ: Rationality and architectural purity
The STQ project seeks the pure and essential form of volume, setting it in contrast with a context of
distorted natural preexistences.

A Decontextualized white volume
Located on a rectangular and proportionate urban plot, STQ is conceived as an exercise in architectural rationality and purity. The main intention was to create a white, completely rational and rectangular volume, decontextualized from its surroundings. This approach responds to the degraded nature of the site and to existing conditions that offered little architectural value.
Lightness and spatial continuity with a floating plinth
The design proposes a white parallelepiped elevated from the ground, generating a light plinth directly connected to the garden. This brings a sense of lightness and spatial continuity. The home’s main living spaces are located in this open, raised base, establishing a direct and perimeter connection with the outdoors, fostering a fluid relationship with the garden.
Connection to the outside: Night areas and perimeter terrace
The upper part of the volume houses the night-time areas, connected to the exterior through a continuous perimeter terrace that extends the relationship between the interior and the immediate surroundings.
This design highlights the essence of rational architecture and its ability to both integrate with and decontextualize from its environment, creating a unique and contemporary experience.
